Last performance : Last time Ben performed he sang I'm With You by Avril Lavigne. Ben said that, just like in the battle rounds (and in most of his performances) he drew on his love and grief for his brother who passed away. Although this is very sad it does seem to help Ben convey emotion when he sings. One of the most honest sounding voices on The Voice.
Public opionin : Ben has a rating of 4 and a half stars (out of 5) on the Voice website. He is currently 22nd on the iTunes chart. Although he may not have been discussed/talked about as much as other contestants are, he has proved to be popular. Ben may be the dark horse of the competition. Even Joel said "Lakyn, better watch out"
My opionin : I think Ben Hazelwoord really deserves to be here. His audition didn't pull me in, that is not to say he was no good but I thought he really shined in the battle rounds. It may also help that he was singing one of my favourite songs by my all time favourite band in the battle rounds. (The band is PARAMORE and you may see a blog about them to, soon. If I get the time). Ben may not be the only Ben who made it past auditions but he does have something special.
Fun fact : Ben finished 4th in NZ Idol when he was 17.

Last performance : For her last performance Prinnie sang "Forever". The performance was high energy and captivating. The judges seemed to enjoy it as well as the public but is it enough to get her through to the next round?
Public opinion : Prinnie has recieved much criticism, especially since she elimanated Mahalia from the competition in the battle rounds. Many people believe that Mahalia should have won. This week Prinnie has not made it on to the iTunes chart but she has in the past. She has a rating of 3 and a half stars (out of 5) on the Voice website.
My opinion : I was sad when Mahalia left the competition but I don't think that they should hold that against Prinnie. It was Joel's choice, not hers. Although Prinnie is not one of my favourite people from the show you have to admit that she does work hard and has plenty of stage presence. I think people should leave her alone. If Mahalia isn't hating, why should we be?
Fun fact : Prinnie is well known back-up singer, who wants to be the urban pop-princess she thinks Australia has never had. Some people call her the (to-be) Beyonce of Australia.
